Antitrust, operators to sign memo against spam calls at SPIEF
MOSCOW, Jun 1 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service and connection operators will sign a memorandum to resist fraudulent voice calls to subscribers at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on Thursday, the authority said late on Monday in a statement.
The operators designed free antispam-services that block spam calls upon subscribers’ consent, the watchdog’s Deputy Director Andrei Kashevarov said.
Representatives of MTS, MegaFon, VimpelCom, and T2 RTK Holding will take part in the event.
The SPIEF will be held on Wednesday–Saturday.
